Quartile is now on iPhone
Quartile is now on the App Store.
We built Quartile because a single star rating never told us what we actually wanted to know about a movie. Is the story good? Is it beautiful? Does the ending land? So every film and TV season on Quartile is rated in five categories, Plot, Acting, Cinematography, Novelty and Ending, each scored 1 to 4 with no neutral middle. Those five scores combine into one Q out of 10, and you can always see the reasons underneath it.
Now all of that lives on your phone.
What you can do in the app
- Rate films and TV by category. Tap a number for each of the five categories and Quartile builds the Q for you. TV is rated season by season, because shows change.
- Find movies by what they do well. Browse Top Plot, Top Acting, Top Cinematography, Top Novelty and Top Ending, stack a genre or a decade, or roll the dice for a random pick.
- See where to watch. Every film and TV show shows where it's streaming, renting or for sale.
- Save to your Watchlist. One tap on any title and it's waiting for you later.
- Build playlists. Make one for yourself or for a friend, and get recommendations for films that fit the list.
- Follow friends with good taste. See what they rate and what they save.
